The Chocolate Book Tag

Hello beautiful readers Today I'm going to do a BOOK TAG! Book tags aren't common on here but when I do one, it's a really fun tag! I was tagged to do the chocolate book tag by the wonderful Tanya @ A Book Paradise and the questions are so much fun! So here goes...

1. Dark Chocolate - A book that deals with a dark topic

Okay so I haven't really read many book dealing with dark topics.  It's probably because I don't read contemporary much? So I'm gonna go with 'A Monster Calls' that deals with death of loved ones. The book was beautiful, but for me it was also really dark. I'm the kind of person who cries everytime anyone dies in books. (That's a LOT!) and reading this book made the feeling of death all too real.

2. White Chocolate - Your favorite lighthearted or humorous read

Wow I'm beginning to realize that the lack of 'contemporary' in my 'Read' list is embarrassing. Not that fantasy books can't be lighthearted but I think that's very rare? I'm going with Percy Jackson for this one because Rich Riordan's books = Humor and sass. They aren't lighthearted in the common sense but they are kind of lighthearted for a fantasy dealing with Greek Gods and monsters and half bloods! Also the books make me laugh like crazy!

3. Milk Chocolate - A book that has a lot of hype that you're dying to read

Okay there are tons of hyped books that I wanna read! But I never read a book because it's hyped. I only read it if I feel I'll actually enjoy it! There are tons of hyped book I haven't read and many I probably will never read!

For this, I think I'll go with Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo! The entire universe loves this book and I have a feeling I'm going to too I mean, I love the characters already so I can only imagine how much I'll love them once I've read the book!

4. Chocolate with a caramel center - A book that made you feel all goey in the middle while you were reading it

Okay I'm going describe 'goey' as a book that made me go 'Awwwww' multiple times and made me feel all happy inside. I'm going with Aristotle and Dante Discover the secrets of the Universe. This book is beautiful with the most wonderful relatable characters and omg the adults in this book give us parenting goals!! And this book is diverse in so many ways! It's a book about being a teen, coming out, family, love of all kinds, first experiences, friendships, fear, anger and discovery. This is book is plain beautiful ❤❤

5. Wafer free Kit Kat - Name a book that has surprised you lately

I'd definitely have to go with 'The Night Circus' for this one! I'd heard such great things about it but wasn't expecting to love it so much as the pacing was slow and the writing was very descriptive. But Holy mother of god, I absolutely adored this book It is definitely the most enchanting book I've read in my life!

6. Snickers - A book you're going nuts about

The Night Circus again! This is assuming the prompt is 'going nuts' in a good way! :P I cannot get over how brilliant this book is. It has been so freaking awesome that reading this book has made plot bunnies hop around in my head and made me come up with two new writing ideas! Magical circuses, midnight dinners and magical duels have a way of inspiring readers who are writers!

7. Hot Chocolate with cream and marshmallows - A book you would turn to for a comfort read

Harry Potter will be my comfort read 'Always'. *wink wink* Reading any book in the series feels like coming home. They also get me out of reading slumps and I automatically reach for HP when I'm in a 'not too good mood'. I know it sounds cliched, but reading HP feels wonderful, gives me strength and makes me feel so much better about everything. I sometimes don't even reread the entire book. I go straight to a chapter I like and that itself feels comforting.

8. Box of Chocolates - What series have you read that you feel has a wide variety and something for everyone

I was going to go with Harry Potter or Percy Jackson but since I've already used those, I'll go with The lunar Chronicles. I read only the first two books but I LOVE this series and it has got it all - science fiction, action, fairytales, kickass characters, romance, friendships, villains we love to hate, etc etc. This is a unique series that deserves all the hype it's getting!

So that's the tag my lovelies! I'm tagging a couple of you to do this tag if you're interested! Go ahead and do it even if I haven't tagged you but you think it's fun ❤

I tag ~
